Yo I think I half cracked the Miré case:

The dress looks the most similar and we never see their faces. I’m like 99% sure Hollé and Umé are digitally layered against themselves because we only ever see one face of each pair (and also the walks are weirdly out of sync but that might just be me being a band kid on main). We also never see the faces of the two in front of Apailana (who seem to be wearing the same outfit as Sabé and Eirtaé did during the “Anakin can’t count” scene in TPM).

The color is kinda off but the hood style looks the same as the one photo of Miré that exists. The color doesn’t bother me much because I fully thought that Padmé’s Mustafar pants were light blue for a long time.

With all that said, in light of the Queen’s Shadow epilogue I will be ignoring that and interpreting them as such:

Hollé and Miré as the vaguely defined handmaidens who “did what people think handmaidens do anyway” ie only helping with wardrobe and etc (Queen’s Hope) in front of the funeral sled

1 & 2: Sabé and Dormé - obvious reasons for being the front row

3 & 4: Rabé and Eirtaé

How I feel about this character: 

I audibly said "oh no" when he came on screen. Akihiro is literally every. single. character. beat. that I am weak for, all at once. It's like they rummaged through my brain, boiled the result to reduce it into goopy, delicious suffering. He is perfect, I would not change a thing. I literally cannot write him, I would not change a thing. Not a single thing.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: 

I mean, Lafter, obviously. I can see him and Mika extending that rivalry horizontally, as it were. But also I have a hard time with it because he is perfect and every time I start trying to go what if, my brain goes, no. Because the tragedy is so fucking good. So fucking delicious. I am weak. What we got was so good, so fucking painful. I am destroyed.

Orga and Mika, together they form my favorite OT3 for this mess because they're three very different sides of the same trauma dice. But they sort of balance each other, they function perfectly as counterweight to one another and I just.

My unpopular opinion about this character: 

I wouldn't change a fucking thing about him. Nothing. Not a single one. I do not want him saved. I don't want him to have a chance to make different choices. He is a Sudoku puzzle of exploitation, grief, loss and feral determination. He had to end the way he did, and to tweak that and take away from it unbalances it all until he's not HIM. It's okay that he's deeply fucked up and deeply hurt and then it just spirals into the mess it does. It's okay. That's why his tragedy works so well, it's the way things had to go.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

I know for narrative/pacing reasons we don't see some things from his perspective, but while, again, I would not change a thing, I would be interested in getting more of his perspective on events. Like, because he's not an active character, he gets to slide into the background more because he only acts as commanded and that's a big part of his arc, but I want to see the tiny steps, the processing of what's happening, to see the change unfurl in detail in a way that'd only work if this were a story about him, personally, and not an ensemble cast.

The high from extended exercise is the closest thing to pleasure he's experienced in his life, and that's why when, left to his own devices, he'll go lift and push himself. It's a mixture of drug addiction, coping mechanism and self-soothing behavior. Not that he'll ever explain that to anyone, but hey. It's a high he can chase that no one gives him shit about. Mika sort of gets it, but Mika also focuses too much on keeping himself sharp to be of use. Akihiro just lifts because lifting feels good.

I’ve just started watching this drama two days back, and I must say, it is intriguing to watch it, so far, namsoon has met her mother, i really wanna know what wooseok’s character is up to with the whole drug thing.

I see heesik’s heart beating for our girl namsoon, that face expression of freeze on his face, when she lifts something heavy, or jumps, or saves someone, he has this brief moment of shock and awe on his face that i really love to watch. Seong woo played his character so well, i’m already in love with him. 🫶🏻

Oh, how can I forget geumju, she’s the kind of mother i’ve always wanted my mother to be, and if i was to be a mother, i would be like her, she’s kind, but fierce at the same time, mhm! The perfect combination as a mother, I love her character so much!!! I enjoy watching her so much, that i’m cheering for her through my screen, lol!

I’m even more curious to know what ryu sio plans to do with namsoon, because he seems to want to have power, lots of power, and he said that he likes speed in the first episode, or the one ep, where namsoon saves the airplane from crashing.

Okay, let me take my statement back, geumju is a great CEO but, not a good mother, since she completely ignored namin, and only focused on namsoon, which led to namin taking drugs, to loose weight, and ending up almost dead, I was screaming at the screen.

Anyway, it got dealt with, she got the antidote, and he didn’t die.

Ryu sio has finally found out who gang namsoon is, and I feel pity, anger, and empathy for him.

He’s just a child who was made to feel powerless by the Russian mafia- Pavel, and it’s not his fault to want power, but what he is doing is wrong, and selling drugs, so many people died because of that, isn’t right.

I want to help him, but he’s not a person who would change for good, so i don’t know what namsoon might do, after knowing that he knows her identity, and may want to kill her.

So, i’ve finished watching the drama, and I have so much to say....!

I knew that namsoon won’t die, since it is a kdrama, there will be something that saves her.

There’s still some story behind ryu shio’s death, I feel like binbin and nozh have something planned for sure.

I feel so many emotions behind ryu shio’s death, he had a tragic past, and all he wanted was power so he won’t feel so powerless like he did back in his childhood.

He also wanted someone trustworthy he can rely on, he had namsoon, maybe if namsoon wasn’t a spy, and just an ordinary girl, he would’ve protected her, somewhere I feel like he did have feelings for her.

I didn’t think that he would die so easily.

There’s something fishy especially after the revelation of nozh, that is bread song, I knew that he must a meaningful character, his name also sounded so stupid, also if he was not important why would he even be on this drama?

I for sure know that there’s gonna be a season three, there has to be, also where did binbin escape to?

Binbin didn’t betray his friend, but will he betray Pavel as well?

Something just doesn’t sit right with shio’s death and all.

For a second, i thought shio didn’t die, but then again they didn’t have much time to swap each other, the police has already infiltrated the boxing gym. (Stupid me) 🤦🏻‍♀️

Anyway, i enjoyed this drama so much, that i didn’t sleep, because i was busy watching this.

Oh, and the end, they show that boy, Jang Chung dong, who is a mutant, they say, and geumju met his mother to take him under her wing, i’m excited to see what the writers come up with in season three!

Started watching this with high expectations since Strong Woman Do Bong Soon is one of my favorite kdramas ever but this just fell short. They tried to recreate an already amazing show and it did not translate. There were so many issues, things they changed from the original that are crucial to the story line and that ended up making this show not enjoyable.

I think there is too much focus on the side stories, the mother and the grand mother end up being leads as well which doesn't make sense to me because part of the original was the lead having to explore her powers and understand who she was outside her family (in a way). The male characters are over exaggerated to the point where they become an annoying and frustrating part to watch (brother and uncle).

I do have to say something they were able to keep was the chemistry, they did an amazing job of pairing up two leads whose chemistry was able to be felt through the screen. Nonetheless, my biggest issue ever is Ryo Sio, the biggest most important point of Do Bong Soon is how frustrating and evil the antagonist was, you could feel her anger and wanted her to act on it. But this made me love the antagonist which was so disappointing.

I literally only watched for the original cast's cameo.

Though not for too long, hand raised to her chin as other hand holds her elbow in place. The Awoken's gaze having drift to the floor, dissociation in her own loop before Sio mentions the tale of her own Guardian -- the means of possession immediately catching Selene's attention & concern.

" That...? " she hums, dropping her hands back to her sides as she takes one step towards the woman & the object in hand. A palm-sized sphere, engraved with odd lines & textures. The only thing even remotely familiar ( or resemblance ) being the shapes that were on it; that it reminded her of Osiris & some of his scriptures.

" It looks... Vex, " Selene speaks plainly, turning her body at an angle to get more eye-level with Sio's hand, squinting. " But I think you'd consider this, " she points at the ball, " as your Ghost, & that you'd be the Guardian, " she points up at Sio. " But your lil guy doesn't float, right? "

As they speak, Data takes his own liberties in examining the object in question - a brief scan & informational dig as a small holo-screen forms in front of his frame. Numbers & strange letters zipping through the screen in a scrolling feed. " Because it's not a Ghost. But it is something -- one I've never seen before, nor these readings. I can't translate it at all, like some sort of ... foreign code. "

Though there is one detail that stands out from among the rest. Pulling herself upright & placing her hands on her hips, Selene lifts the highlighted cyan gaze back to Sio. One brow crooked as the other relaxed briefly. " Did you say that turns into a gun? "

"O-Oh, sorry about that--but regardless, you're pretty cool for a flying robot thing..." Open mouth, insert foot. Would she ever stop being a socially awkward noob? Probably not. She wasn't sure what Data meant that 'that would be more Selene' since the girl certainly seemed quite solid and alive, but maybe things were not what they seemed here. At least, not in this timeline...?

"Honestly, I'm not really sure how I got here...? I don't think I was doing anything different..." The last thing she remembered was debating on how much time she had for lunch before meeting with the rest of the platoons in preparation for the next attack. "I mean, I was aboard the Alex Logan--uh that's the base I stay at--and kinda milling about, and maybe being sorta bored and...sleepy?"

Maybe this was all some really real, hallucinatory dream?

"The reason I asked is just...well, I guess I kinda have a 'guardian' too, but he's much harder to see--well, actually I don't even know if it's possible for anyone else to see him..." Now that Sio thought about it, she never saw other people's e-genes, only her own. The only person she knew to even be remotely aware of communicating with other e-genes was Adam, but from what she'd learned, his sensitivity was an exception and not the rule. "I'll spare the complicated details 'cause I don't even know how it really works myself, but his name's Oda Nobunaga and I'm basically his reincarnation. But I can use this," she held out her AU ball, which somehow was still with her, "and turn him into a giant gun to fight aliens from outer space trying to destroy my planet."

The sniper hoped that sounded less crazy than it did in her head, but after so many speeches of 'what is an e-gene holder and how do they work' this was the best elevator pitch she came up with.

"Ah ha ha ha ha...I know, crazy right? Aliens and reincarnation...if I wasn't living in it right now, I wouldn't believe it either..."

oh you guys I cant wait to see what the tour is gonna look like even if I cant go. What are the screens going to looks like, what are the extra visuals she will include, will the stage/screens be funky and movable like in rep, will there be a platform high up that she performs from a la treacherous/sio…..Taylor really flexes creatively in this aspect too I cant wait to see how she incorporates the midnights aesthetic with other albums. And the outfits!!!!!oh the outfits, I wonder if there will be a costume change/reveal moment. What mew mashup will we fall in love with, what songs will she choose to sing acoustically, what songs with electronic elements be changed to accommodate a live band…..what speeches will she give!!!!just so many thoughts….
